Horse Power For Hope!
Horse Power For Hope is Envision’s commitment to reducing barriers to participation in our services by bringing the “Country to the City”. Loading up the horses and traveling primarily to the Healing Post and other locations. While primarily partnering with The Healing Post, Envision loads up the horses, staff and volunteers and travels for the day helping to change lives of those who may not otherwise be able to participate.Envision brings the country to the inner city, The Healing Post is the platform for serving children and teens in the foster care system; The Young Leaders Life Skills and Literacy Program, for at-risk youth; Mustang Magic, for adults and seniors.
TheHealing Post is the result of over 18 months of planning and collaboration between Envision and The Bridge United Methodist Church. The Healing Post is a social service program through which Envision the next generation of horsemanship arms with other foundation, Hospital Youth Ironwood Cancer of the bridge, steps into delivering therapeutic programs, linking community non-profits, K2 Adventures, Florence Crittenton, Phoenix Children’s, Homeless Outreach, Season’s Hospice, and Research Center.
HorsePower for Hope also provides our equine assisted therapeutic services at other locations including: Camp Kangaroo, an annual grief camp hosted by Season’s Hospice, therapeutic riding programs for individuals with cognitive or physical disabilities, and miniature horse visits to assisted living homes, domestic violence shelters, VFW Posts and schools.
