Our Approach:

We use Equine Assisted Socio-Emotional Learning which provides an opportunity to develop self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal skills. Participants gain tools for coping with emotions and stress and leave with renewed confidence, empowered to face new challenges. We achieve this by developing relationships between horses and humans through a variety of experiences. These can include one-on-one time with a horse, grooming exercises to build connection, and leading a horse in the arena to develop and strengthen regulation of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Please Note: Our programs are ground-based; participants build relationships with feet on the ground, not in the stirrups. Horse experience is not required. The program is designed to build on itself week to week and is tailored to the pace of each individual.

Envision Therapeutic Horsemanship – The Healing Post

Envision is proud to offer programs at our partner facility, The Healing Post. Founded as an outreach ministry of The Bridge United Methodist Church in central Phoenix, The Healing Post is located at the rear of the church property and is designed specifically for day-use equine-assisted learning activities. With two arenas, six stalls, observation patios, and a dedicated classroom The Healing Post offers an ideal setting for Envision programs in the city and has been instrumental in our ability to partner with social service agencies.
